Should I stay on Koh Phangan for the Full Moon Party, and how do I get there?
Staying on Koh Phangan makes it easier to plan the party and your journey home. Choose Haad Rin for proximity, or compare accommodation elsewhere on the island with a confirmed road transfer. From Koh Samui, check a reputable ferry operator's current route and schedule; travel conditions can change. Phuket is a separate, much longer journey, so allow travel days instead of planning a quick evening visit. Verify the party date with the Haad Rin community calendar, and arrange transport before you go.

Should I choose the Full Moon Party or Bangkok for New Year's Eve?
Choose the setting before the ticket. Koh Phangan offers a beach-party trip that needs ferry and accommodation planning; Bangkok offers city countdowns, clubs and rooftop events with very different seating and admission arrangements. The official Full Moon calendar lists 31 December 2026, but reconfirm before travel. Use the organiser's current announcement for every countdown and compare inclusions, arrival deadlines and transport. A hotel dinner, party ticket and fireworks viewpoint are different purchases. Songkran street celebrations or a ticketed water-music festival: what is the difference?
A public Songkran water-play area and a ticketed festival are different events with their own boundaries, hours, age policies and prohibited items. Bangkok offers year-round city nightlife, while island and beach-club programmes can change with weather and travel demand. A holiday week, international booking or festival can matter more than the month alone. Check the current schedule of the venues you want before choosing accommodation.
